owning 4x4's receive intensive training in Off-Road
Driving techniques. All members receive training in Radio Communications procedures and operation, Call Out and Standard
Operating Procedures.
In addition, training is given in allied subjects such as Map and Compass work, Helicopter
operations, Search Base operations and basic First Aid, enabling members to complement
other organisations that may be involved in the operation.
The 'Level' of lectures indicate the following:
Basic : Required for 'Basic' Membership of the unit.
Intermediate : Required for 'Intermediate' Membership of the unit.
Advanced : Required for 'Advanced' Membership of the unit.
